Projects

The Projects module (administrators only) keeps a lightweight record of each project so tickets can be routed to project teams.

What a project holds

  • Name, start date, end date (the end can't be before the start), and an optional description.
  • A Project Manager.
  • A team — any set of users.

A project is deliberately a light container: it is not a department and not an assignee. Project statuses and milestones are planned for later.

Managing projects

  • List — all projects with manager, team size, and dates; searchable.
  • Create — fill in the fields above.
  • Detail — the project's information with names resolved, plus a Related Tickets panel listing every ticket attached to this project (each links to the ticket itself).
  • Edit — the same form, prefilled; saving replaces the team list with your new selection.

How projects interact with tickets

When someone attaches a ticket to a project, the Project Manager and the PMO join the ticket automatically. If the ticket has no direct assignee, project routing outranks department routing — see Tickets for the full assignment rules.
